In just over a week 20,000+ people will gather in New Orleans to celebrate Greenbuild 2014, the annual event of the US Green Building Council. This year’s program is likely to be the biggest and best yet, packed full of great keynote speeches, presentations, educational programs, workshops and entertainment.
However this may also be the most controversial Greenbuild ever, which is why I am reaching out for your input.
Over the past few years, a small group of internal staff have been working on a revolutionary new product called the LEED Dynamic Plaque. The design is brilliant and visualizes how a building is performing in 5 areas: energy, water, waste, transportation and occupant experience; but ignores all purchasing and numerous other areas that are in the LEED Rating Systems.
While the USGBC introduced the concept of the LEED Dynamic Plaque at last year’s Greenbuild, I only learned about it a month ago, and I suspect it is new to you as well. There has been little if any public review from people like you and me. Frankly because of this it is not surprising that so much has been omitted.
Further, and why your input is so important, this program may have significant implications for many companies especially those which make and sell Green products and services.
This is why I am asking you to express your thoughts on the LEED Dynamic Plaque by taking this very brief (about 2 minutes) survey.
Your input is valuable and because Greenbuild 2014 is only a week away, time is of the essence. So please take the survey now.
Thank you and take care,
PS. The first two people taking the survey will win a copy of Explosion Green, David Gottfried’s new book (David was one of the founders of the USGBC) and everyone will be put in a drawing for two more copies of his book — so you have 4 chances to win. So please take the survey now!
