Recently we completed our 1st of 6 workshops hosted by the Atlanta Falcons and my thanks to Tim Trefzer of the Georgia World Congress and Scott Jenkins of the Falcons. You were great hosts! And thanks again to our workshop partners and sponsors including ISSA, Healthy Schools Campaign, Procter & Gamble, UPS, Aramark, Dow and Nature Works as we couldn’t develop programs without the support.
The Atlanta workshop could accommodate only 50 attendees due to the facility tour. We got 52 registrations and 49 people showed-up, which is remarkable for a free event. The attendees included the Atlanta pro teams; along with local colleges, K-12 schools and others. It was a great learning experience and their input will help us make the next workshop even better! And a special “shout out” to Ovie Mughelli, former NFL all-pro fullback for attending the event and sharing about his foundation (check it out).
Our 2nd workshop is this week (Wednesday 4/11) in St. Louis hosted by the St. Louis Cardinals. If you are in the area, please let us know and we’ll make sure a space is reserved for you. It should be another great event and my thanks for Joe Abernathy of the Cardinals and Delaware North for hosting this event.
And for those on the West Coast, our next event will be hosted by the LA Dodgers on June 1st. Thanks to Steve Ethier and David Edford of the LA Dodgers for hosting. Again, let me know if you’d like to attend this event or host one at your facility. It’s a great program — creating a healthier facility for athletes and fans, and demonstrating leadership for community sport programs.
