USGBC Lists Top 10 States for LEED Buildings

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) has released its 2014 list of the top 10 states for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified commercial and institutional green buildings per capita.

For the second consecutive year, Illinois leads the United States with more than 3.31 square feet of LEED space per resident. Colorado and Maryland ranked second and third on the USGBC’s list, certifying 3.14 and 2.70 square feet of LEED space per resident, respectively.
